Club meetings take place on the third Tuesday of the month from 7-9pm
The meeting venue is The Dower House Hotel, Woodhall Spa LN10 6PY
Meetings range from guest speakers to social evenings and a full programme can be found under the news and events tab
As we are fortunate enough to have our own club apiary we try and meet every Saturday afternoon during the season, this is of course very weather dependant
Our Apiary manager will confirm with beginner course attendees and can be contacted by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Local trips are held throughout the year and will be discussed at club meetings and listed on the website
These educational trips are a superb source of information for beginners and our more experienced beekeepers alike
From March onwards we run a number of beginners courses.
The cost of the course is £70.00 and includes a copy of The BBKA (British Beekeepers Association) Guide to Beekeeping.
Please see the 'Beginners' tab above for further information
In 2019 the club was fortunate enough to be able to establish its own apiary.
This enables beginners to experience beekeeping on a range of hives, within a group, and on a regular basis.
The apiary provides the opportunity to learn by 'doing' as all beginners will be taught how to conduct a full hive inspection, as well as the basics like lighting a smoker.
The apiary is managed by one of our club members and members are welcome to attend by prior arrangement. we also host open club days at the site to welcome family members and those who may be interested in the the course.
